Join us for “Secret” Lunch on Friday, February 10th as we hear from Dave Dixon, President of Dredge the Vermilion, Inc. a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to helping local governments identify flooding risks and proposing solutions to reduce this risk. His talk will identify the unintended consequences of past flood water management projects in our watershed. The focus will be on risks in the greater Lafayette area. An overview of the Teche-Vermilion watershed and how it drains to the Gulf of Mexico will be presented and a list of flood mitigation projects will be reviewed including their status.
Lunch is $25 at the door. Extra donations are welcome because the cost for these lunches actually exceeds the $25 we charge.
