Lunsford and CNL have had an outsize influence on Louisiana libraries.
Citizens for a New Louisiana has been systematically placing conservatives on volunteer commissions such as the Lafayette Parish Library Board of Control and Bayou Vermilion District, where they now have majority control.
Citizens for a New Louisiana ... targets individuals, books, and institutions it considers too liberal, permissive, and inclusive. Too woke, in other words.
The success we're seeing in Lafayette Parish would not be possible without vital organizations like Citizens for a New Louisiana.
A defamation suit [Amanda Jones] filed against ... the conservative group Citizens for a New Louisiana, was dismissed.
